Chris has a longstanding association with Bromsgrove, having worked at South Bromsgrove High since 1998, most recently as the Headteacher.

In that time Chris has seen the direct benefits the students have received in terms of support from Bromsgrove Rotary Club and also the benefits to the school community in becoming involved in fundraising, both for local and international charities. Charitable work by the students supports important causes in the surrounding area and also gives students the opportunity to develop skills such as leadership, organisation, initiative and communication. If this is what the students are doing, then it is important that the Headteacher leads by example and in 2018 Chris joined Bromsgrove Rotary Club.

As well as developing his connection with the town he has worked in for so long, Chris is hoping that the close association between Rotary and South Bromsgrove High will ensure that the recently sponsored school based Interact Club will continue to thrive.

Outside of education Chris is a fan of Worcester Warriors and spending time in the mountains.
