A very warm welcome to our Rotary club website.
The Rotary Club of Bromsgrove is an active and vibrant club and very proud to have served the people of Bromsgrove since 1937 and aspires to do so for many years to come. We recently celebrated our 80th anniversary. Please peruse the list of our projects in the ‘Project’ section of our website for a comprehensive list.
We aim to enhance our public presence in Bromsgrove even more. Please look out for the Rotarians in Bromsgrove. We are a very approachable bunch.
The Rotary club of Bromsgrove along with other clubs in Great Britain and North Ireland are part of a huge global organisation called Rotary International, a service organisation providing humanitarian services. Rotary International has over 34000 clubs all over the world with over 1.2 million members called Rotarians.
Rotary International is committed to contributing to the total eradication of polio worldwide.
Polio is a highly infectious disease caused by a virus. It can cause total paralysis in a matter of hours. Polio mainly affects children under 5 years of age.*
There is no cure for Polio. It can only be prevented. Polio vaccines can provide a lifetime protection for a child.*
Polio cases have been reduced from an estimated 350,000 cases in 1988 to 37, reported in 2016.*
This is a remarkable achievement and Rotary as an organisation is very proud to have been a part of this miracle.
