Bromsgrove Rotary is proud to announce the provision of a scholarship for a year 13 student going into further education for a 3-5 year degree course at a recognised UK University.
About the Scholarship
The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance in recognition of the student's potential for success and desire to make a difference. The funds should enable a University student on a degree course to purchase study materials like books, stationery, etc., help towards the cost of a field trip if any and other course-based expenses.
The Sum assured
The scholarship payment will be for a total of £2100, paid as a yearly instalment of £700 per annum for three years provided certain academic achievements are met and the student goes on to complete the course.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship you must be a Year 13 student at one of the approved schools and meet all of the eligibility criteria and must not be subject to any of the disqualification clauses in the application document.
How to Apply
Download and complete the application form, scan your supporting documents then email the application and the scanned documents to scholarship@bromsgroverotary.org.uk. You will receive a confirmation email and reference number within 48hrs. Give this reference number to your school to add to their letter of recommendation which they should then email to the same email address.
When to Apply
Applications for the scholarship can be submitted from the 18th of February up to the 22nd of April.
What Happens Next
The applications will be reviewed by the judges and 3 candidates will be shortlisted for interview by no later than the end of May. Interviews will be held in June with the Judges, Student and guardian (if desired). The student's Head Teacher / Head of Year may also be asked to attend if extenuating circumstances are being considered. The final decision will be announced by the end of June.
